How to Create Your Own Ebook Today
Take out a sheet of paper and divide it into 2 vertical columns. On the left side, write down everything that interests you. On the right side, write down everything you are good at doing. When you discover an item on both sides, it’s time to evaluate whether you can come up with a product in that category. For example, if you are passionate about health and nutrition and good at creating gluten-free meals, you just discovered a theme for a website or product. Your site could offer recipes or book recommendations teamed up with an Amazon affiliate account.
Another technique for generating ideas is mind mapping or clustering. In the center of a piece of paper, write down a theme from the left column of the exercise above. Drawing lines from the center word, write down everything that immediately comes to mind. Try not to censor yourself. Just write everything down. Then take these individual words and do the same thing by again writing down all the words that come to mind. Very quickly you will fill the page with possible areas for exploration.
Think about all the things you have done that someone was willing to pay you for. Think about all the services you currently pay others for. What knowledge do you have that others might find valuable?
Before you decide to give up on any idea, let it sit in your unconscious mind for awhile. Days later you may have a flash of inspiration or insight that could lead to an excellent product. Nearly everyone is capable of coming up with an Ebook or product from their own, unique set of talents and interests. The internet is all about information. People all over the world are looking for answers you might be able to provide.
It can be intimidating trying to come up with ideas for ebooks and products. Before I give you some ideas, I’ll share some brainstorming techniques. Many people are convinced they have no marketable ideas. I think they just need a little coaching to get used to accessing their creative side.
Recipe Ebook Ideas: gluten-free, low-carb, Italian, crock pot, low-calorie, vegetarian, vegan, raw foods, low-glycemic, making Sushi at home… There are unlimited possibilities.
How-to Ideas: write a winning term paper, paint a room, build a deck, create a water feature, organize the office, make money online or offline, investing tips, lay tile, flip houses, eliminate debt, lose weight, save money, go green etc.
